Your data, protected
Privacy & cookies
How we collect, use and protect your personal information.
Last updated: 29 October 2026
National Surfacing Limited (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the rights you have under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
Who we are
The data controller is National Surfacing Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12936789) with its registered office at 28 Wilton Road, Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex TN40 1EZ. Our trading address is Unit 5, Dodwell Trading Estate, Dodwell, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 9ST. You can contact us about privacy at [email protected] or by calling 0800 233 5770.
What we collect
We only collect the personal data you choose to give us:
- Enquiry and quote requests: your name, email address, phone number, postcode (optional), the service you are interested in, whether the project is residential or commercial, and your message.
- Phone and email: any details you share when you call or email us.
Visualiser photos: photos you use in our surfacing visualiser are processed entirely in your own browser. They are never uploaded to us or stored anywhere.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this website.
How and why we use your data
- To respond to your enquiry, arrange a survey and prepare a quotation — lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interests in responding to customers.
- To carry out and administer any work you commission — lawful basis: performance of a contract.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations — lawful basis: legal obligation.
We will never sell your data or use it for marketing without your separate consent.
Who we share it with
We only share your data with trusted service providers who help us run the business, under contracts that require them to keep it secure:
- Cloudflare delivers and protects this website, and runs the Turnstile spam check on our quote form.
- SMTP2GO delivers the emails our quote form sends: your enquiry to our team, and a confirmation to you.
- Our website host (in the EU) runs the server that processes the form.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, they use safeguards approved under UK law, such as the International Data Transfer Addendum. We may also share data where required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. If you become a customer, we keep project and financial records for as long as required by law (normally six years). Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted once they are no longer needed.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website does not set cookies of its own. It stores a few small preferences in your browser’s storage, which are strictly necessary to provide features you ask for:
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
ns-theme | Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. | Until you clear your browser data |
ns-maps-consent | Remembers that you chose to load the Google Map. | Until you clear your browser data or withdraw consent below |
ns-viz-favs | Remembers the finishes you save as favourites in the visualiser. | Until you clear your browser data |
ns-viz-promo | Remembers that you closed the visualiser shortcut button. | Until you close your browser tab |
Spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)
When you start filling in our quote form, it loads Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks signals from your browser and device to tell people apart from automated spam. It is strictly necessary to keep the form secure, is not used for advertising or tracking, and usually completes without you having to do anything. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy addendum (opens in a new tab).
Google Maps
Our contact page includes a Google Map that is only loaded if you click “Load Google Map”. Once loaded, Google may set cookies and collect data about your use of the map, which may be transferred outside the UK. See Google’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
External links
Links to Facebook, Instagram and our surfacing visualiser take you to third-party websites with their own privacy policies.
Your rights
You have the right to access your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to its use, and request a copy in a portable format. To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab) or on 0303 123 1113.
Keeping your data secure
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, and this website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
