A quick guide to the three surfacing systems we install.
Resin bound surfacing is a mix of natural aggregate and clear UV-stable resin, trowelled to a smooth, seamless finish. It is fully permeable and SUDS compliant, so rainwater drains straight through, and it is available in over 60 colours. It suits driveways, paths, patios and courtyards.
Tarmac is the most hard-wearing, cost-effective option for heavy traffic — the same material used on UK roads. A typical residential tarmac driveway can be laid in a day, and it is ideal for long drives, car parks and access roads.
Rubber crumb, or wet pour, is a two-layer safety surface: a recycled SBR rubber base topped with coloured EPDM granules. Certified to EN1177, it cushions falls, making it the standard choice for playgrounds, schools and play areas.
